Honestly...I know exactly where you're coming from. Honestly, there are some rare finds there (e.g., rhubarb, yuzu, curry leaves), but if you're not in the "in" group, you might not get the best of the crop. And you have to be willing to look and ask questions (e.g., when did the season start, what else do you have coming soon). The nicest thing about it is that it's year round, which is not the case for many other local markets. That might keep me coming back even if we did move out of SM. However, I did say "might."MetaMommyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04215017798814280039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4705745015696842372.post-32888403064821666372008-04-04T13:44:00.000-07:002008-04-04T13:44:00.000-07:00You know, what you describe is kind of why I lost ...You know, what you describe is kind of why I lost interest in the Santa Monica Farmer's Market. I'd always read glowing reviews, but when I got there, I didn't see much that was unusual or spectacularly priced or stunningly beautiful. If I lived closer, I might go anyway, but it's certainly not worth the drive from the Valley to me.Chief Family Officerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02320154821990804327noreply@blogger.com
